Had a little awakening last night driving home after a rejuvenating bike ride with Lou. I started thinking about the trail we were riding on, the weather we were given and just the simple fact of being able to meet and ride. The moment really and all the moments we get. Seems to me even the term “take for granted” becomes taken for granted unless we seize the time and exhale. When I first moved to the area I was exhilarated at the thought of a paved trail winding through woods and small towns, what a gift! Over time we lose sight of those things within our reach, they become more insignificant. In this moment I am feeling lucky beyond measure.
How do you truly enjoy the moment? I think Albert Einstein summed it up well:
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is. Well said Mr. Einstein.
