These are some of my favorite memories for the 4th of July. Camping with the kids when they were young, teaching them how to water-ski and then the big day of slalom skiing and Tim making pies out of bread and pie-filling over the campfire. There is nothing like listening to “God Bless the USA” on the 4th of July at the campsite looking over the lake. When he sings “From the Lakes of Minnesota”, I do believe the whole state must bow their heads. This year I get to experience this with our 7 month old granddaughter and celebrate our sons’s 30th Birthday at the lake. How blessed we are. What is your favorite 4th of July memory?
